The product is paper made from the fibers of the coconut midrib (either nipa palm or water coconut). After being processed into pulp, it is crafted into sheets of various sizes and thicknesses, following the paper-casting techniques of the Mong people and using water pressure patterns inspired by the Japanese Rakusui Washi method.
Coconut fiber paper has a wide range of applications: translucent 3D paper, art paper, food and cosmetic packaging, paper handbags and tote bags, as well as raw material for crafting paper flowers. Coconut paper paintings are uniquely artistic thanks to the paper’s translucent quality, making them ideal for high-end interior decoration.
Coconut paper is also used to create handicraft items such as paper flowers, paperware, and translucent paintings—distinctive and memorable souvenirs, perfect for tourists visiting the province.
