COMOON JOINS HANDS WITH HO CHI MINH CITY FOOD AND FOODSTUFF ASSOCIATION TO DISCUSS PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WITH OMNI HOLDINGS

Thursday, 21/08/2025, 07:56

To promote international trade and create more collaboration opportunities for enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City’s food industry, the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Foodstuff Association (FFA), in coordination with COMOON Co., Ltd. (a member of HungHau Holdings), recently held a working session with Omni Company to discuss potential business cooperation.

Attending the meeting were Ms. Ly Kim Chi, Chairwoman of FFA, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Hoa, Executive Committee Member, and Mr. Trinh Ba Cuong, General Secretary. From COMOON, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, General Director, participated, while Omni was represented by Mr. Sean Leas, Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region.

During the meeting, Ms. Ly Kim Chi expressed her delight at seeing FFA and Vietnamese enterprises engaged in international cooperation. She emphasized FFA’s mission as a bridge to capture market needs and help Vietnamese brands expand into global markets.

Mr. Sean Leas, on behalf of Omni, highlighted his aspiration to make Vietnam a strategic market and to explore deeper into its raw material sources. He expected that FFA would act as a strategic partner, connecting Omni with suitable Vietnamese enterprises and, in certain cases, assisting in price negotiations to increase the chances of successful partnerships in Vietnam.

Omni currently operates business offices in 21 countries, including the UK, South Africa, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore, with commercial activities in 52 countries worldwide. The company plays the role of a bridge between producers and retail systems and has already imported numerous products from Vietnam, such as seafood, cashew nuts, and coffee. The connection between FFA and Omni promises to open new supply chains for Vietnamese enterprises, contributing to international integration and sustainable development.

During the meeting, FFA also showcased many representative products from its members, particularly those from reputable Vietnamese companies that meet high export standards in demanding markets such as Europe, the US, and Japan. Among these, COMOON was highlighted as a distinctive brand with its coconut water beverages and coconut-based handicrafts.

Omni’s representative had the opportunity to sample COMOON coconut water alongside coffee, cashew nuts, and other products from HungHau Holdings. COMOON’s products were highly praised for their natural taste and quality. Omni expressed a strong interest in future cooperation, not only with COMOON but also with HungHau Holdings in areas such as frozen fruit, seafood, and premium edible oils. Omni further noted its intention to continue discussions with COMOON’s business team for more detailed cooperation.

At the end of the session, both parties agreed to conduct further research and move toward signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand cooperation, trade, and the export of Vietnamese food products to global markets.
