Braise pork or fish

COMOON fresh coconut water can be used as an ingredient for traditional Southern-style braised dishes. Just one bottle of COMOON coconut water can help you create a flavorful and beautifully colored pot of braised pork with eggs for your family.

You can make braised pork with eggs at home using COMOON coconut water.

Ingredients to prepare a pot of braised pork for 4–5 servings:

  • ½ kg pork belly

  • 5 duck eggs

  • 1 bottle of COMOON coconut water (500 ml)

  • 1 garlic bulb

  • 3 shallots

  • 1 chili

  • Common seasonings: fish sauce, sugar, salt, MSG, and seasoning powder

How to step by step making Braised Pork with Eggs Using COMOON Fresh Coconut Water:

Step 1: Prepare the supporting ingredients

Peel the shallots, garlic, and chili, remove the stems, then finely chop them and place in a small bowl for later use.

Rinse the duck eggs with clean water, then boil them for about 5–10 minutes. You can add 1 teaspoon of salt or vinegar to the boiling water to make the eggs easier to peel. Once cooked, remove the eggs and place them in a bowl of cold water. Peel off the shells and set the eggs aside on a plate.

Step 2: Prepare and marinate the meat

Clean the pork belly skin, rinse thoroughly, then blanch it in boiling water with 1 teaspoon of salt for about 1 minute. Remove, drain, and cut the pork into cubes about 5 cm wide.
Place the meat in a large bowl and marinate with 3 tablespoons of fish sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt, and the chopped garlic–shallot–chili mixture. Mix well and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

Step 3: Braise the pork

Boil 500 ml of COMOON fresh coconut water (1 bottle). Add all the marinated pork and boiled eggs. Reduce to medium heat and simmer for about 1 to 1½ hours. You can adjust the seasoning.

With just a few simple steps, you can prepare a delicious, flavorful, and nutritious braised pork with egg using COMOON coconut water for your family meal. 

Make coconut agar jelly

You can easily use COMOON coconut water to make a delicious and refreshing coconut jelly. COMOON coconut water has a naturally mild sweetness, giving the jelly a pleasant aroma without needing much added sugar. You can prepare this dessert at home with just a few simple ingredients and steps:

Ingredients for making coconut jelly with COMOON:

  • 2 bottles of COMOON coconut water (1 liter)

  • 10g jelly powder (agar powder)

  • 200ml coconut milk

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Sugar

Step 1: Prepare the coconut jelly base
Pour 1 liter of COMOON fresh coconut water into a pot, add 10g of jelly powder and 1 teaspoon of salt. You may also add about 20–30g of sugar—no need for too much, because COMOON coconut water already provides a natural sweetness.

Stir well until the mixture dissolves completely, then bring it to a boil. Continue stirring while cooking to prevent the agar from clumping.

After about 15–20 minutes, pour the mixture into molds and let it set. Keep about 300ml of the agar mixture aside to make the coconut milk layer later.

Step 2: Make the coconut milk jelly layer

Add 200ml of coconut milk to the remaining jelly mixture, stir well, and cook over low heat. When the coconut milk mixture starts to boil, pour it over the set coconut jelly layer.

Once the entire jelly has set, remove it from the mold and enjoy this refreshing dessert with your friends and family. 

Making daily "mix & match" drink 

You can combine COMOON fresh coconut water with various fruits to create different kinds of beverages. Its naturally light sweetness and refreshing taste blend perfectly with the slight sourness of kumquat or passion fruit, resulting in flavorful and refreshing drinks.

With just few ingredients and simple steps, you can make a refreshing coconut kumquat drink using COMOON coconut water.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of COMOON fresh coconut water

  • 50g kumquat

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 50g coconut meat

How to make coconut kumquat drink using COMOON fresh coconut water (for 1–2 servings):

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients
Cut the kumquats in half and squeeze out the juice. Strain to remove the seeds and keep the peel. Mix the kumquat juice with ½ tablespoon of sugar and strain again to remove any residue. Slice the kumquat peel into thin strips and marinate with ½ tablespoon of sugar for about 15–20 minutes.

Step 2: Make kumquat jam
Put both the kumquat peel and juice into a pan. Simmer over medium heat until the mixture thickens.

Step 3: Mix the coconut kumquat drink
Pour COMOON coconut water into a glass, then add the coconut meat and kumquat syrup. Stir well.

Finally, add ice, garnish with a bit of kumquat peel and coconut meat, and enjoy your refreshing drink.

Shake up cocktail using COMOON as cocktail base

If you’re in the mood for a tropical cocktail, you can use COMOON coconut water as a mixing ingredient. When combined with some cocktail base spirit such as rum, vodka, or Malibu, COMOON coconut water enhances the flavor of both the alcohol spirit and the fruit. You can make a refreshing Mojito at home with the following ingredients and simple steps:

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml white rum

  • 100 ml chilled COMOON coconut water

  • A handful of fresh mint leaves

  • ½ lime

  • Ice cubes

  • Syrup (optional, about one small shot)

How to make it:
First, muddle the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker to release their natural oils. Then add Rum, COMOON coconut water, squeeze in half of a lime, then fill the shaker with ice and shake well.

Finally, pour the cocktail into a glass, garnish with a few mint leaves and a lime slice to make your Mojito more appealing. You can also add a small shot of syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste.
